Q: How do I get started?

A: Simply download the Orbo ADi app from the iOS App Store, create your profile, get verified by Orbo, define your service area, and start receiving lesson requests!

A: Orbo charges a small service fee ranging from 5-9% of the lesson price the learner paid. This covers our operational expenses, such as platform maintenance, dedicated support for you, and marketing to bring more learners to you.

Q: How does Orbo ADi make money if there are no franchise fees?

A: No, Orbo is a technology platform that connects you with learners. You remain an independent, self-employed Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) responsible for your own taxes, National Insurance, and insurance.

Q: Can I set how much I get paid per lesson?

A: Currently, the ability to set a fixed per-lesson rate is not yet available, though Orbo considers this feature. Our current system is designed to maximise your potential earnings through a dynamic pay structure. Offered rates are based on market demand, which means your pay can range from average to high depending on the current demand for driving lesson services. As an independent contractor, you are under no obligation to accept a lesson if you are not satisfied with the offered rate.

Q: How do you verify learners?

A: Learners create an account and agree to our terms. Secondly, to ensure you receive only genuine requests, learners are required to pay for their lesson upfront when submitting a booking. This confirms they are serious about their lessons and ready to get on the road.
